GOMA — On a recent trip to Goma we were able to catch up with Pastor Timothée (pictured above with his wife and daughter next to Bill Shaw), who recently graduated from our Bible school extension in Goma. Two years ago he planted a church to complete his pastoral training. He owned property in town where he had planned to build a family home but decided to donate the land to the church instead. The church has been meeting in tents (possibly remaining from the refugee camps) on that property ever since and is already running over 300 on Sunday mornings. Once the congregation has built its own building they plan to buy another piece of property for the pastor’s family.
